PINTANDO DANDO PAU

Pintando dando Pau, which means painting through bugs, is a series of glitch digital paintings where crashing video player distorts pixels lines creating a "painting like effect". The concept is to think of painting through pixels of real word images by exploring underlying aspects of digital image making, in this case video compression. The choice to call it painting is to provoke our preconceived idea of the medium since now days, the digital photographs of any real world painting is seen infinite more times in the digital world than it's original. Each painting is a series of 24 (multiple of 12) as I always liked the old 35mm photo film cartridge that were either 12, 24 or 36 exposures.
